This application form is targeted to the soft matter postdoctoral researchers who plans to start their independent career in India to connect amongst themselves as well as senior researchers in the field within and outside India. The selected candidates will get an opportunity to showcase their research through a 5 minute flash talk along with a poster. The registration fee is Rs. 15,000/- for postdoctoral researchers and a shared accommodation will be provided. Due to logistical reasons, we have limited seats for postdoctoral researchers. Selected candidates will be informed about their participation.

The deadline for abstract submission is February 15th, 2025 .

About SMYIM

The Indian Society of Rheology organizes the soft matter young investigator's meet (SMYIM) annually, since its inception in 2014. The meetings aim to bring together young soft matter scientists and engineers to present their research, discuss emerging research directions in the field and encourage new collaborations. It provides a platform to connect a rapidly growing interdisciplinary group working on colloidal/polymer/granular/active living matter-dynamics, self assembly of mesoscopic structures and the interface of soft matter, chemistry and biology, to enhance the quality of soft matter science through fruitful discussions by bringing scientist together. Our previous meetings were held at various locations including Pondicherry (2014, 2014 and 2015), Goa (2016), Shimla (2018), Shillong (2019), virtual (2020 and 2021), Mysuru (2022), Jim-Corbett (2023), and Kodaikanal (2024) and were a success.
